We invite you and your child to participate in a new study, The Infant Development Project!

The brain develops more in the first years of life than at any other point in the human lifespan. At the same time, babies develop immense motor, cognitive, language and social abilities during the first year. We are interested in how brain and behavior develop together and how parents support such growth.

We welcome you to learn more about our study on the “What’s Involved” and “FAQ” tabs. If you choose to participate, your family will receive gift cards totaling up to $300, as well as a personalized baby book that charts your baby’s development.

The Infant Development Project is being conducted at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Nancy McElwain (Department of Human Development and Family Studies) is directing the project in collaboration with Drs. Brad Sutton and Ryan Larsen at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Illinois.
